This week Vodafone announced that it will be bringing back roaming charges from January 2022 and the change applies to all new customers.
The fee structure is pretty convoluted but basically you can still roam for free in certain countries on all of the plans.
Which countries are included in the free list depends on your plan. For the most basic plans, only Ireland and the Isle of Man is included. For roaming outside of those included destinations, you will have to pay up to £6 a day. All the details here*.
Vodafone is the last mobile network provider to introduce roaming charges post-Brexit, despite promising not to like all of its competitors.
EE, O2 and Three all announced their updated roaming policy earlier this year.
