The Sun did a great list of freebies, discounts and vouchers from supermarkets that can help with the cost of living crisis. 

And an actual freebie…

The £400 energy rebate announced earlier this year will be applied from October onwards. 

If you’re on direct debit, your energy company should have written to you already about how this works – but if not then it’s worth finding out.

If you only do one thing…

Spend your old bank notes by 30 September.

The old £20 and £50 bank notes are being phased out, which means after this date they’ll stop being accepted in shops.

If you don’t get a chance before then, you may still be able to deposit it with your regular bank, or take them to a Post Office or the Bank of England to swap them for new versions.
